Mina Nguyen
Mina Nguyen (born January 1979) is an American businesswoman and political figure who held several national posts in the Republican Party and the George W. Bush Administration. Nguyen was the deputy assistant secretary of Business Affairs, appointed by U.S. Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson. () in February 2007. Subsequent to Treasury, Nguyen joined the firm AQR Capital Management as an executive to founder Cliff Asness. () ==Career== Nguyen was the director of Congressional Affairs and senior advisor to Ken Mehlman, RNC chairman and Bush-Cheney campaign manager () from 2005-2007. Prior, Nguyen was head of corporate affairs for the 2004 presidential re-election as National Business Coalition director and Northeast Director (). In 2001, she was appointed as director of Public Liaison to U.S. Secretary Elaine L. Chao (), becoming one of the youngest to ever be appointed to the Senior Executive Service in the Federal Government. She was named by the ''Orange County Register'' as top 30 to watch for her rapid rise in federal government service (). Nguyen was also a management consultant at the global firm Accenture and analyst at Morgan Stanley(). Nguyen holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and is also a graduate of Walter A. Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley. In addition to her role at AQR Capital Management, Nguyen is a national board member of the Girl Scouts of the USA and founding board member of the global health organization, World Health Ambassadors.
